RESUMO

This investigation has as objective the exam of the marks of the Catholic education in the intimate writing its chose as privileged source of analysis an elementary school teacher s diaries that she studied, in the decade of 1960, in Duque de Caxias, in the Normal School of the School Santo Antonio, institution of German origin, founded in 1940 by the Franciscan nuns of Dilligen. Understanding that this is one of the writing practices common to the youths certain generations, it was looked for to dialogue with researches accomplished in the extent of the History of the Written Culture, of the Literature and of the History of the Education that have dedicated themselves to the intimate writing, to the school writing and the writing of young. Structured in three chapters, initially it intended to examine the importance of this source type for the concerned researches with make anonyms. One second I move of the text prioritizes the presence of the writing in the religious congregation and in the Catholic school, trying to understand the importance attributed by the institution to the intimate writing in the future teachers formation. Finally, in the last chapter, the analysis stops to the practices of reading of formation romances, of religious books and of pedagogic literature, that tried to mold the Catholic woman and the teacher in the noble mission of teaching. The study that intends to contribute to enlarge the understanding on the teachers formation and the young culture, in the historical perspective, indicates as the intimate writing, together with the religious practices and the one of reading contributed to the future teacher s moral formation. They were aim of disciplining and of mechanisms that would allow the self-control, the self-exam and the judgement of the own conducts. The valorization of those practices reflects the concern of that school with the Christian woman s construction in agreement with the values of the Catholicism.
