Revisão taxonômica do subgênero Neotropical C. (Calloceratina) Cockerell, 1924, com notas taxonômicas sobre os subgêneros de Ceratina Latreille, 1802, do Novo Mundo (Hymenoptera, Apidae, Xylocopinae)

RESUMO

The Neotropical subgenus C. (Calloceratina) Cockerell was revised and redefined based on morphological characters. 14 new species were described, two unplaced species, C. cobaltina Cresson, 1878, and C. regalis Cockerell, 1912, were transferred to the subgenus. Six species groups were created and are presented with the respective species as follows: group a: C. sp. nov. A and B; group chloris: C. chloris (Fabricius, 1804); C. triangulifera Cockerell, 1914; C. sp. nov. C - H; group cobaltina: C. cobaltina and C. regalis; group eximia: C. amabilis Cockerell, 1897 sp. reval.; C. aurata Friese, 1921 sp. reval.; C. eximia Smith, 1862; C. rhodochrysea Cockerell, 1912, e C. viridicincta Cockerell, 1931; group mexican: C. mexicana Cresson, 1878; C. xanthostoma Cockerell, 1912, and C. sp. nov. I; group azteca: C. azteca Cresson, 1878; C. dimidiata Friese, 1910; C. rufipes Smith, 1879, and C. sp. nov. J. Six species did not fit into a group: C. belizensis Baker, 1907, C. currani Schwarz, 1934, and C. sp. nov. K N. Were designated Lectotype for C. amabilis Lectotype pres. desig., C. aurata Lectotype pres. desig., C. dimidiata Lectotype pres. desig. and C. rhodochrysea Lectotype pres. desig. A key to subgenera of Ceratina Latreille with records in the New World, including new characters, and key to the C. (Calloceratina) species are provided. New geographic records are appointed to the subgenera of the New World. Are given diagnoses, descriptions or redescription, distribution records, illustrations and discussion for each species of C. (Calloceratina).
