Responsabilidade social empresarial : um estudo sobre as maiores instituições financeiras privadas no Brasil

RESUMO

The dynamics of the social protection policies in many countries, specially in Brazil, allows the establishment of a new ?social pact?. From this pact, the behaviour of various individuals, organizations and institutions have been consolidated in a intersection between the public and the private, becoming a new way of social protection, paralell to the one offered by the State. From the historic of the state action on facing the social issues, prioritizing their political and economic determinants, this dissertation is concerned with the incorporation of a ?Social Responsibility Culture?, which is a base for the actions taken by the private agents, and is embodied by the private enterprises as the ?Enterprise Social Responsibility?. The issues linked to the social responsibility of the private enterprises are controversial, and an important issue is the doubt around its real potential of action when facing the social problems of the country. The currently available instruments to observe the enterprises? actions in this sense are the Social Reports, published by the companies themselves and their representative entities. From the observation of the available information in these documents, this dissertation aims at analysing the socially responsible position of the main private banks in Brazil, focusing specially on the labour relationship with its employees
