RESUMO

Cowpea, Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp., Apiaú, Iracema, Pingo de Ouro, Epace 10, Pitiúba, BR3-Tracuateua, Inhuma, NC99-542F-5, Canapuzinho, TE97-204G-12, BRS-Milênio, Amapá, RS-Paraguaçu, BR17-Gurguéia and BRS-Marataoã genotypes were evaluated for resistance to the black aphid, A. craccivora, leafhopper, Empoasca sp. and to the cowpea curculio, halcodermus bimaculatus, in field condition, in randomized blocks design experimental with four replications, during 2008, at CCA/UFRR, and Amapá, BRS-Novaera, BR17-Gurguéia, RSMazagão, BRS-Milênio, BRS-Paraguaçu, BRS-Patativa, BRS-Guariba and BRSMarataoã genotypes for resistance to weevil, Callosobruchus maculatus, in laboratory condition, in a completely randomized experimental design with four replications. Results revealed that: BR3-Tracuateua (0,25 leafhopper /tray) and Epace 10 (0,25) were the less preferred by the leafhopper. The black aphid presented less preference for BRS-Paraguaçu (0,25 black aphids /petioles), BR17- Gurguéia (0,15) and Canapuzinho (0,10) genotypes and the BRS-Paraguaçu was the most preferred by the cowpea curculio for feeding. In relation to C. maculatus results revealed that: BRS-Patativa presented resistance to the non-preference type to oviposition. BRS-Patativa and BRS-Paraguaçu presented resistance to the antibiosis type because they have provided an increase in the larval phase of the species and that the tested genotypes havent presented resistance to the non-preference type to C. maculatus feeding.
