Representações sociais sobre o transplante de células-tronco hematopoiéticas e do cuidado de enfermagem

RESUMO

The transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells or progenitor-cell, known as bone marrow transplantation is a therapeutic procedure, which aims the restoration of hematopoiese. This study aims at understanding the social representations on the transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells and of nursing care in the perspective of two social groups, with a bone marrow transplant nurses and other services of two bone marrow transplantation. The theoretical framework is based on the theory of social representations. Totaling 62 subjects, which were the two sample groups. The locations of services were two bone marrow transplantation, in Brazil. The semistructured interview was the instrument used for data collection. For the treatment of the data used to draft the content analysis of Laurence Bardin. The themes that emerged were: knowledge processing (the unknown, knowledge of BMT, resignificado knowledge, emotion, attitude), maintenance of life (expectation of living, fight for life), cure of cancer (treatment for cancer, fight cancer, expectation of healing) practices after BMT (lifestyle and personal relationships), and stressful environment of care (closed environment), the social group of transplants. To the social group of nurses the themes were: representational configuration of BMT (type of treatment, therapeutic limit, maintenance of life, suffering, view of life), and professional setting of BMT (responsibility, emotional bonds, work environment, growth professional, personal growth, professional activity). In nursing care for the transplanted group of the themes were: nursing care humanized (humanization of care, concern, attachment). For the group of nurses, the issues are: dimensions of nursing care in the transplant (specialist care, complex care, care, humane education and care), and the caregiver in care (maintaining distance, making such losses, satisfaction with care and attachment). Finally, this study began with two objects of social representation - the transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells and nursing care. During the analysis was characterized an object of the process of transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells, are inserted in the care process. The representations of sustaining life, cure cancer and the prospect of life were characterized in this study.
