RESUMO

The Strategy of Family Health was created precisely with the aim of reducing inequalities within the health system in Brazil. The social determinants and the enormous social inequalities implicit in this national picture is that permeates the process health / disease of the Brazilian population. The debate on disability, as regards rights and inclusion of disabled people, has increasingly occupied space in the Brazilian public policies. The choice of the Theory of Social Representations (RS) to support this theory should search, initially, its character reference and construction of thought. Our objectives are: investigate, present and analyze the social representations that the professional nursing staff at the Family Health of Patrocínio-MG is on the disabled child and therefore understand how the nursing profession within the Team and Family Health of Patrocínio-MG they see a child with disabilities in pediatric nursing and care aimed at this population. Thus we can identify and meet the representations that the professional nursing staffs at the Family Health of Patrocínio-MG have on a child with disabilities, lifting the main problems identified by in a pediatric nursing care.nurses; Family Health; Social Representations; children with disabilities.
