RESUMO

Barra do Sul Spa, located on the north north east shore of the state of Santa Catarina, is a municipality which geographical area has just recently been divided into lats but which is presenting a real and accelerated populational graveth, due to an economical increasing activity tourism. The socio-espacial formation and the geosystem paradigms, based on the inseparable junction of the natural environment and the environment created by the human beings were used as the theoritical referecence, offering the possibility to verify that changes in the economy of the municipality have come from the increasing division of the land into lats. This process has damaged the fragility of the ecosystem because the refered land division characterizes itself by the inadequate use of the local natural resources this inadequate use is due to the tojal back of political planning and inspection under the duty of the the organs responsible for the process of land occupation, for the land division in lots and for the use of the natural resources of the municipality of Barra do Sul Spa
