RESUMO

This study aims to characterize the relationship between chronicity and social network, as a promoter of encountering links in mental health. We performed a qualitative research on social networks with individuals participating in the Life at Home Program of São Vicente de Paulo Hospital, Secretaria de Saúde do Distrito Federal, Brasília, Brazil. These subjects with psychological distress have a history of institutionalization in psychiatric hospitals and a clinical diagnosis of mental disease, and were referred to this program for technical support, aiming to maintain the clinical status, to reduce recurrent and long-lasting hospitalizations and to stimulate social reintegration in the territory. This qualitative research on how these subjects, now deinstitutionalized, are within its territory and how is their dynamic relations with social actors, aiming mainly to observe if their reality has provided links to the psychosocial rehabilitation and territoriality clinic. In this sense, this work aims to deconstruct the traditional concepts and theories of psychiatry, introducing systemic and phenomenological constructs in this discussion. Our results show that the traditional paradigm is still in daily social actors life, and we must insist on changes to the complexity of the phenomenon of illness, without forgeting the subject and its dynamics of life. We conclude, that study, as a denunciation of the use of traditional hospital logic in the clinical interventions of territory, provided reflection and contribution of possible strategies in psychosocial clinic on the way of social networks.
