RESUMO

The reconstitution of architectural designs has as objective the register of buildingswhich have been destroyed, deprivedof characteristicsor inaccessible, throughthe architectural drawing. The importanceof these register drawings consists of preserving the memory and the cultural architectural patrimony,existing practice since century XVIII, period of the first archaeological expeditions.The contribution of the architect is done through the architectural drawing, since these first works of reconstitution until the present, either in the interpretationof data or in the survey of information. With the techniques of computer aided drawing,the possibilities of the representation and the register of architectural designs had been extended. Beyond the features the graphical computation, computer science made possible to congregate, n a solely media, information that usually were met dispersed in different collections and environments. This practice allowed the access to the information on cultural goods, as much for researchers as for the interested public, spreading out the importance of the patrimonial preservation. To demonstrate the features of the process of reconstitution through the architectural drawing and computergraphics, it was reconstituted the façade of the Campinas Municipal Theater "Cartos Gomes". The work presented in this example uses features of photograph analysis, plants and remaining parts of the building to define what it would have been the front elevation of its façade, describing a reconstitution architectural method and justifying its importance
