RESUMO

The light is probably, the more compound and variable environment factor to which the plants are exposed. The ability in the application of regulators of growth exogenous blocks or it increases the action of several bands of the light spectrum, maybe come the use of the system in the study of the processes under the light involving photoreception and morphologic answer. An atmosphere controlled with artificial light is a satisfactory system for producing plants of high quality. The development of a source of more effective radiation for use in facilities for growth of plants would be a significant benefit so much for application in research as for commercial cultivations. Before the importance of the method for the production of plants, and in the knowledge search on the endogenous factors and exogenous that influence on the rooting, the work was proposed. Stem cuttings of guava trees cv Paluma were collected and of peach tree cv Okinawa, with 10 centimeters of length containing two cut leaves in the half in the superior extremity. The cuttings were treated with IBA in liquid formulation, and put in isopor trays, with 128 cells of the inverted pyramidal type, tends the substratum vermiculite of medium granules. The experiments were delineated in the form of factorial (5x4x3), containing 5 light treatments (blue; yellows; red; white; testifies), with four treatments of IBA (0; 2000; 4000; 6000 mg L-1) and three repetitions of 10 cuttings, totaling 600 cuttings. Them lamp used for night illumination of 20:00 oclock at 22:00 oclock, they were of the colored fluorescent type (blue, yellows, red and white) of 16 Watts. The nebulization was used intermittent for 20 seconds in intervals of 10 minutes. They were appraised in the experiments number of cuttings alive; number of remaining leaves in the cuttings; number of rooted cuttings and dry weight of roots. For statistical analysis the test of F was used, for analysis of the variance Tukey (1 and 5%), for comparison of averages. In agreement with the conditions in that the experiments were accomplished can conclude that the quality of the light influences in the rooting stem cuttings of guava tree cv Paluma and peach tree cv Okinawa. An interaction exists between IBA and quality of the light. Difference exists among the species in response to the quality of the light in the rooting stem cuttings.
