As a science field, Psychosomatic was studied under two points of view: Psychoanalysis by Pierre Marty and Joyce McDougall and Analytical Psychology by Denise G. Ramos. The point of this research was the emotions, considered as the connecting link between the pyco and the body, as a dimension that is present in all the instances of the individual, bringing out its importance in the bio-psycho-social balance of the human being. To describe how the enocions act on the mind, the theoretical references of Psychoanalysis and Analytical Psychology were considered, while the research in neuro-science, by Antônio Damásio, was used as basis in the description of how the emotions are processes in the body
