RESUMO

This work deals with the ethical-political dimension of the Social Work Professional Project in their expressions of the exercise of professional social workers, engaged in the task of managers of the policy of social assistance, in the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance - SEMAS in Fortaleza. During the years 1980, Social Work promoted a renewal in their theoretical and methodological bases, thus seeking a rapprochement with the critical social theory. Only later in the decade, is that the profession will mature understanding its political and philosophical about the ethics. Analyze the design professional colours necessarily by the study of ethics, politics, economics and the various trends theoretical incorporated to the profession over historical development. The choice by empirical field in SEMAS due to the fact that Secretariat is a political body that comprises the administration of government petista of Luizianne Lins, which has submitted a proposal in its campaign of ethics in politics. The routing methodological for this reflection was held through a literature review on ethics and political Brazilian, and analyzing the documents of institutional SEMAS, then to confront the speech of managers, with the ethical principles that guide the profession. Assess the hegemony of the project professional in SEMAS (or in general scope) was not our intention, but rather we approach this debate and noticed that the front capitalist society, where reigns of the project bourgeois class, it is much more challenging to action (o) of a social worker. Thus, identified that even in a society where reigns inequalities between the classes, where the value is ethical a hidded individualism and competition, still, to the managers, it is possible the implementation of the project professionally. Therefore, a professional practice in social service, which takes into account the potential political, legal and ethical, provided in the Code of Ethics, these constitute an important element in broadening the horizon of social and political emancipation of society.
