RESUMO

Presently a prototype of an AGV (Automated Guided VehicIe) controlled b) computer is under development at LCA (Computer Engineering and Industrial Automation Laboratory) at UNICAMP. This type of vehicle has many applications in automated industrial environments where it can carry out several tasks related with the production processess. To do so it receives instructions from a supervlsory computer through a communication network. Its application can be extended to other productive activities like ln milling and at hazardous environments that offer high human life risks. It can also be used for submarine exploitation of petroleum. The development of such kind of vehicle is very complex and requires several groups of work since it involves many branches of Engineering knowledge. The AGV vehicle incorporates a traction system, a steering system, controI units for traction and steering, a data acquisition system and sensor units. The traction and steering systems developed are composed by the following parts: inverter, controller circuit boards with opto and magnetic couplers, overcurrent and overvoltage protection circuit board and auxiliary switching type power supplies. This work presents the theoretical fundaments and the methodology used in the analysis and design of each part of the equipment. Results of digital simulations were used at the first stage of the project. Finally the experimental results are presented showing the adjustments done at lab and the limitations and the solutions used to get the desired behavior of the prototype
