RESUMO

This study in information Science field is part of Scientific Communication research line and aims to consider the evaluation procedures of encouragement to research, in front of the new paradigms of knowledge production, towards implantation and innovation. Its structure is based on the question about the adequacy of the evaluation procedures used by CNPq, for the actions of induction of new health practices of knowledge production (Manner II of doing science). To answer the question, the perception of main actors involved on the evaluation process of the actions of induction on health of CNPq, were privileged. It is specified as general objective: Identify, on the perception of the main actors directly involved on the process, if the procedures of evaluation, adopted by CNPq, are adequate to the actions of induction on health. The theoretical foundation is based on the approaches to evaluation of science and mode II of production of knowledge. Regarding the methodological procedures, the nature of this research is descriptive and has the design of a case study of the Edict 38/2004 Oral Health of CNPq. For data analysis, the method chosen was qualitative and quantitative. The quantitative method was used to analyze secondary data of the evaluation instruments applied by CNPq to appreciate the actions of induction on health. The qualitative analysis is based on the method of content analysis and was used in the analysis of the interviews applied to the actors involved in the evaluation process. Inferred that the tools allow generate relevant information for conducing and taking a decision on future actions in health, in the opinion of the actors, the instruments are adequate, but can be improved. For them, the evaluation process is partially appropriate, they point the need of adequacy of evaluation method for the inclusion of other actors, apart from peers in the Evaluation Committee. It was concluded that the evaluation procedures are aimed to verify the potential application of results and products of the projects funded in the actions of induction, therefore, tending to the Mode II production of knowledge. It is also, that the objectives were achieved and confirmed assumption.
