RESUMO

The object of this study is the analysis of practices of mental health staff in a psychiatric unit at general hospital, taking as cut the clinic practice developed by health workers. The psychiatric hospitalization in rooms of general hospitals is a diatribe of national politic of mental health. In this sense, it aimed to analysis the production of practices of staff of mental health in a Psychiatric unit at General Hospital in city of Fortaleza/Ce.; to describe the activities(personal and collective) developed by staff in quotidian of referred unit; and, to point out limits, advances and perspectives of practices of mental health developed by staff at UPHG. The methodology points out to research with qualitative approach, under way of case study. The participants of study were 8 workers of health of a psychiatric unit from municipal of Fortaleza/Ce., being used the semi-structured interview, the systematic observation and documental analysis to collect data. The analysis of data based on content analysis. The results revealed the clinic is made of space of care conducted equally the elements that integrate or not the care in mental health, and the activities accomplished, the procedures increased and accomplished and, still, the knowledge inserted have in quotidian praxis its solubility effective. The group therapeutic approaches absorb the field of context contemplation in scenario as hit the clinic before the human subjectivity in search of better adequate of life. The practices of workers of UPHG inserted in context of spaces and scenarios of care in mental health of dialectic and historical form. The process of work developed in this field inside through technologies and knowledge in consolidation of change realities and situations in accord with social and historical determinant. However, the psychosocial attention in its dimensions, came out the need of interlinked action. Thus, the UPHG demonstrates that is possible to rethink the clinic and provide it of a broader dimension to life of subjects in psychic suffering. When overcome the unit prospective to diagnosis and assume also the dimension of hearing and partly the resolutions, the clinic act can find the way of humanization in its practice locus.
