RESUMO

The production planning of a multiproduct multiperiod multistage manufacturing system with deterministic demand is modeled as a network flow optimization problem with side constraints. This approach allows to explore the special structure of the problem during the solution process. It is assumed that decisions such as maintenance scheduling, machine and tools capacity, had been made by the strategic decision leveI. The optimization algorithm determines the optimum storage leveI, the demand supply leveI, backorders, and the temporal allocation of raw material. A multiobjective formulation associated to an efficient solution technique, taking into consideration the large size of the problem, is proposed.
