RESUMO

The main issues discussed on prenatal care in the literature refers to non-compliance of the activities recommended by MS by the professionals during the prenatal appointments, causing a low quality of prenatal care and maternal and infant deaths. The assessment in the perception of the pregnant woman and the researcher is a method to identify the conflicts existing in the organization of the health service and in professional practice and is relevant to decoding the real situation of prenatal care so they can create subsidies to improve the quality of health care in prenatal care. The study aimed to evaluate, in the perception of pregnancy, the prenatal care in the context of the organization of the health service and practice of professional team of family health and analyze the entire stock of health care included in pre - Christmas. It is an evaluative study with a qualitative approach in which they interviewed 21 women who participated in prenatal care in three Family Health Centers of the Executive Secretariat Regional VI of Fortaleza - Ceará, in the months of July to October 2008. Data were organized into two thematic and analyzed under the reference of the conceptual aspects of the Completeness as studied and organized by Mattos, specifying the organization of services and skill of professional practice. The women reported satisfaction with the service showed that prenatal shares included in full in relation to accessibility, performance of laboratory tests, referrals of pregnant women to dental service and distribution of drugs. In practice, some women reported dissatisfaction because of lack of reception, dialogue and listening to the professional. The attention focused only on the health of the baby during the consultations of prenatal care, was also observed. It was identified that all pregnant women underwent a minimum of six consultations, began prenatal care in the first quarter, but with the socioeconomic and educational disadvantage and without the reception by the community health agent. All pregnant women received at least one medical visit and the others performed by nurses. There is need for the health professional communicates itself clearly and objectively with the pregnant woman, observing their level of understanding, and asking him if he understood, because acting in full and watching this woman in its entirety, the pregnant woman may act in their health by contributing to have a healthy pregnancy, reducing the possible disorders during pregnancy and postpartum state.
