RESUMO

This research is a case study conceming the praduction process of the touristic/mountain space of Pedra da Mina peack, located on Mantiqueira Mountain on a portion called Serra Fina. This process was begin with a spread of altitud measurement of the Serra Fina top that rised to the fourth place on the brasilian s mountain ranking. This from increased is prooved by statistic frame of the visit fequency based on the mountain books. The impacts on the Paiolzinho track, main way to the top, and on summit area, resulting fram this human from increasing, were characterized with photographies tooked in the period fram 2000 june to 2006 april. The impacts detected by this re­search justify the necessity of a control in the visiting ftow that would be made by a manegement plan
