RESUMO
The recent proliferation of statements concerning corruption within the apparatus of the Brazilian Governments may be seen as phenomenon marked, with an astonishingly high degree of regularity, by arrange of lexical deflections, all of which turn to be the single metaphor of illness. Reduzible to Medical science is, for sure, a body of knowledge and procedures with its own specific vocabulary; however, it is also a technology of power, as amply demonstrated in Foucault s genealogies. Our hipothesis -" linguistically based upon the ideas of Lakoff and Johnson is that, in viewing its object as if it were a disease, the gigantic crusade against corruption currently in cause this tecnology of power in favour of a intriguing strategy: Channels it is precisely the State commonly looked upon as nervecenter and seat exclusive of power that is the ultimate target of this punctilious examinations that purports to diagnose the symptoms, to trackdown the etiology and to precribe remedial treatments for this insidious evil represented by corruption.
