Os efeitos da estrutura organizacional no processo de aprendizagem organizacional

RESUMO
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of organizational structure on organizational learning processes, taking into consideration the environmental context that surround this relationship and the moderating influence of elements that facilitate or block organizational learning processes. The study, conducted at the organizational unit of analysis, describes the relationship between the two research constructs-- organizational structure and organizational learning processes-- utilizing a predominantly qualitative research methodoogy. The company studied is TV Guararapes, a recently established business unit of the Associados Group in the northeastern Brazilian state of Pernambuco, which retransmits the BAND network signal. Although a relationship between organizational structure and organizational learning processes was observed, the results of the study do not appear to support the full identification between organic structure and organizational learning processes suggested by the literature, mainly because of limitations observed in the process of codification. The results suggest not only that organic structures do not, necessarily, facilitate all organizational learning processes but also that some features of bureaucratic structure may actually contribute positively to certain of these processes. A possible relationship between organizational learning processes and stage in the organizational life cycle was also observed
