RESUMO

Essential factors to the growth and surviving of the organizations are to guide itself innovate toward the market. The proposal of this research is to analyze innovation impact and market orientation in the competitively and external performance of companies the belong to the furniture productive arrangement of Arapongas/PR. It identifies the market orientation level through MARKOR scale, implementation of product, process, and organizational innovation, development of innovative activities, relationship among innovation, competitively and guidance in the studied companies. The companies’ development is gotten through variables like incoming growth, prophets, and investment returning compared to world wide parameters in the furniture’s industry. Methodological procedures were local productive arrangement, innovation, and external competitively, and market orientation literature. The research has a descriptive characteristic, using quantitative and statistics, transversal structure and has a survey methodology that contains 61-companies sample. The result of the empirical research follows the Arapongas` furniture industry competitively as a result of their marketing orientation. The innovation indicators and market orientation results can be improved as well as the industry competitiveness.
