RESUMO

The X-ray diffraction potential in the analysis of polyerystalline materiaIs enhances when it is associated with the Rietveld method for refinement of crystalline structures, since one can obtain simultaneously: the sample structural parameters, the quantitative phase analysis, the preferred orientation determination, crystallite size and sample micro strain, among other possible information. ln this work, the formation of solutions in the solid phase of the binary fat acid systems: Miristic(x) + Palmitic(1-x) (system 1) e Laurie(x) + Miristic(1-x) (system 2) by using the X-ray diffraction associated with the Rietveld method is investigated. Samples of the two systems were prepared with several concentrations in the range of O 0.8 show only the contribution of the Laurie acid phase
