RESUMO

The olive tree cultivation is traditionally a worldwide activity and, in the last few years, it has been turning into a reality in South America. In Brazil, lots of studies have been demonstrating the viability of olive-yards cultivation in certain regions of the country. In this sense, the propagation of productive plants in an efficient and qualitative way happens to be fundamental in its success in Brazil. The olive tree propagation features variations and low rooting rate when conducted under the propagation system without the rooting berth heating. Therefore, this work had as objective the evaluation of rate of olive tree stakes rooting with application of fertilizers in the substrate conducted in a vegetation house, with an intermittent nebulization system (automatized by a regulated temporizer to turn on at 6 h and to turn off at 22h, with nebulization turned on every five minutes for a period of 10 seconds), with controlled temperature (20  2ÂC), the stakes being planted in propagation support, at four centimeters of depth, using perlita as substrate. For 2 years 3 experiments for the verification on the stakes rooting rate evaluation were carried out on the EPAMIG Experimental Farm in Maria da FÃ. In the first work, the stakes were prepared featuring approximately 12 cm in length, and afterwards they were immersed into the basis with 3000 mg L-1 for 5 seconds with solution containing IBA. From then on the factorial scheme 2 X 7 considering two varieties (Arbequina and Ascolano 315) and seven fertilizers ( Biofertilizant, Nippoterra, Fert Bokashi, Ativo, in the proportion of 25 mL L-1 ,Nutricafà and Rocksil, in the proportion of 25 g L-1).was adopted The products were applied into the substrate, via manual sprinkler, before the introduction of the stakes. The utilized delineation was the completely casual one with 4 repetitions, each parcel featuring 25 stakes. In the second work a search was carried out for the best dosage among the selected products from the first experiment. Thus, olive tree semi hardwood stakes were cut at 12 cm and treated or not with 3000 mg L-1 for 5 seconds in solution containing IBA. The work was divided into 2 experiments each one being executed with one of the selected fertilizers. The experimental completely casual delineation, in a 2 X 7 factorial scheme was adopted, being the absence or application of IBA (3000 mg L-1 ) while the second factor was the dosages of each organic fertilizer. In both works, the percentage of stakes with callus, the percentage of rooted stakes, the percentage of rooted stakes and / or with callus, the average number of roots and average length of the roots were measured. In the first work it was verified that the products Biofertilizante and Nippoterra presented superior rates as compared to the measured items whereas in the second work, the product Biofertilizante showed higher results, with 62% of rooted stakes at dosage of 36 mL L-1.
