O USO INDETERMINADO DO PRONOME VOCÊ NA FALA DE PROFESSORES E ALUNOS UNIVERSITÁRIOS: UMA ABORDAGEM SOCIOLINGÜÍSTICA

RESUMO

The aim of this present work is doing a research on the indeterminate use of the second person pronoun você, with the function of subject, in na institutional context of a classroom, in a sort of defined activity, at Faculdade de Filosofia Ciiências e Letras in the city of Além Paraíba. This work shows the way crossed by the pronoun Vossa Mercê, used formally, until its evolution to the word você, today, popular in the Brazilian speech. At the class activity, we search to highlight the conditioning factors for the indeterminate use, very significantly, of this pronoun present not only on the speech of teachers but on the speech of students as well. The analysis enhanced that the indeterminate use of the pronoun você is due to four factors as follows: (i) figurative interpretation which the second person pronouns usually have, called metaphor of person; (ii) na escape from the egocentric form eu, when the speaker gets away from the subjective form and becomes the own regarding; (iii) the regarding assumes the collective form for something of particular nature, showing lived and experienced situations; (iv) escape, at the spontaneous speech, of the pronoun se. With all that, it becomes clear, once more, that the language is a living mechanism, subject to variability and that it holds expressive resources which the speakers put into practice to reach their goals through the use of the language
