O som, seus parâmetros, e a música: o ensino dos elementos musicais

RESUMO

This is a theoretical and field research work, with the purpose of producing pedagogical guidelines for the teaching of music. Its purpose is to propose an alternative for teaching of musical elements (melody, rhythm, harmony and timbre, among others) by its observation as a physical phenomenon; study the origin of these elements by means of sound parameters (pitch, intensity, duration and timbre) and the variables of a sound wave (frenquency, amplitude, period and length); recognize the perception of these concepts as expression of sound intelligence; verify the students cognitive profile concerning musical elements and sound parameters, and what this means for their learning in music. The field research carried out is a case study with qualitative approach. The data were obtained from a second-year, second-grade group of a state public school, located in northern Paraná, un the city of Londrina.Based on the readings that have been done, reflections were carried out concerning the necessity of preserving and stimulating the students autonomy, offering them guidelines and activities that could contribute to the their education as readers of sound texts, as well as for the development of the sound intelligence. Our intention was to define the relation that exists between the sound parameters and the musical elements generated by them, recognizing that the understanding of the these sound concepts as a physical phenomenon must be seen as a manifestation of sound intelligence.It was conclued that the class investigated ignores many of thge definitions of the concepts covere in this research; th learning and recognition of these concepts are facilitated when they are presented together with a sound ilustration; one can make the teaching of these sound concepts significant, starting from the persective of explaining them as a physical phenomenon, wich leads us to realize that knoweledge of the sound parameters and musical elements is essential to develop sound intelligence. Thus, understanding this, and other reflections on education werw considered as subsidies for the teacher s pedagogical practice, and also as a way to create conditions for access to culture to the learner and the educator, since the concepts discussed in this study are present in the language of sound and musical discourse, and therefore in the reading of sound texts.
