O léxico da comunidade de Ouro Preto - MG: da (im)possibilidade de reflexos do contato lingüístico

RESUMO

In this work is analyzed the spoken language of the community from Ouro Preto MG, and the objective is to verify if there are in the oral production of natives and/or domiciled in this city (now Ouro-pretanos) some interferences caused by students language of Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (now University Students). In specific, if the lexical items used by these students are presented in the lexicon of Ouro-pretanos. It is assumed the hypothesis that this interference is current owing to the contact established between the two groups, and by this contact results the variation that can indicate some lexical changes. The corpus of 223 data was extracted from 16-recorded interviews with 8 Ouro-pretanos and 8 University Students according to the principles of the Variation Theory. The results guide the analysis for two directions: an inventory about the special forms found in the University Students spoken language, which the use of these forms was related to graduation course, period and gender by, qualitative and statistic analysis of the data; the data presented in the Ouro-pretanos spoken language were a reduced number (11 occurrences) and by this way they were analyzed only qualitatively. The obtained results from this analysis show a non-significant adoption of the special forms by the male gender Ouro-pretanos who establish some intense contact with the University Students. These conclusions regarded hypothesis that support the explanation for a non-interference from the University Students language in the other group, such as a possible hostility from the population of Ouro Preto related to the students of UFOP, do not considered by these population as their integrants. The results reveal that the situation of contact not always has as a consequence the configuration of cases of linguistic variation.
