RESUMO

This research aims to investigate the role of the unconscious on the pedagogical praxis, starting from the relationship between education and psychoanalysis. The delineated theoretical route begins on the analysis of the hegemonic psychopedagogical discourse which has been based on the belief that the teacher could ensure the control of his/her action and the students`success, by appropriating the theorectical and methodological presuppositions of the teaching and learning process. Thus, from the description and the succinct analysis of the tendencies in education which support the teachers` pedagogical praxis, it discloses the field of the possible relations and similarities between the education and the psychoanalysis. This work, in an epistemological way, is inserted on the transdisciplinary position that has the complexity paradigm as one of its pillars. The research has a qualitative approach and it is oriented by the knowledge resulting from the Psychoanalysis. There were five teachers as the studied subjects and the used research tool was the elaboration of the educational memory, supplemented by the semi structured interview. The memory, the central nucleus of the Freudian conception, is recognized in this work as the minimal representation of the subject and the possibility of expression of the unconscious contents within the school scenario. The research shows possible contributions that the psychoanalysis may offer to education, and especially the teachers`pedagogical praxis to recognize that, in addition to the conscious aspects is possible manifest elements of the unconscious in order to staff. Also shows the importance to the initial and continuous teachers`formation in that psychoanalysis can not and should propose goals and educational means, but it can shed light on what not to do in education, that is, into the axis of ethics the intervention of the adult at school.
