RESUMO

This work tries to place Murilo Mendes in the poetic current of sensibility and modern perspectives, considering aesthetic references of the brazilian moderno Under the sign of the despair, the murilian texts configure a tense relationship of the poet with his way produce, amid the conflicts of representation of legitimacy, that go beyond the being and the world, reaching the structures of artistic expressions. When reflecting the relationships of the being with himself, with the social context, with the sacredness, the poet looks for to rescue a lost unit and he imposes himself with the purpose of modifying an unsatisfactory situation. The ransom that is made bay the mediation between humor and irony, in the first works, acquires larger force in posterior works. The modernization of old myths, the representation of the erotic situation in a mythical and religious perspective characterizes the ransom, the renewal desire ant they are harmonizes under the poet s nocturnal imaginary surveillance with a redemption impulse.
