RESUMO

This work had the intention of studing two relations envolved with the laser induced photochemical reactions. These reactions were those induced on the gas mixture of SF6 and H2 alone and in the presence of a solid (titanium, silicon, silica gel and glass wool) by the pulsed CO2 laser. The first kind of study is related to the chemical reactivity of the radicals produced by the laser induced multiphoton dissociation of SF6. The products obtained in the experiments without solid were SiF4, SOF2 and SOF4. With the presence of solid were obtained only SOF2 and SOF4 and in this reaction the yield was less than the reaction without solid leading us to the conclusion that the solid was an efficient energy scanverger from the radicals. The second kind of study was on the calculation of the spectroscopic parameters related to the molecular isotopically selective absorption of infrared lasers emission. These parameters were: the isotopic frequency shift from the molecular systems MF6 and MF5X, using normal coordinate analysis; the rotational countorn and the overlap of the rovibrational bands of the different isotopes; the vibrational frequencies of the fundamental normal modes of unknown molecules which could absorb the CO2 laser and the infrared fundamental band intensities of molecules MF6 and MF5X. These parameters were used in order to compare the experimental results of the isotopic yield from SF6 and SF5Cl molecules, and shown the relations between the rotational countorn and molecular excitation.
