RESUMO

The symbolic expressions of the catholicism of the urban center more developed against the districts of the peripheries on the devotions concrete are distinct in relation at the religious sense. In the districts of the perpheries are less secularized and in the social urban center are more secularized. The religious realities are directed under the values in the services to demand the more favorite classes than to demand less favorite, generally poorer and marginal of the collectivized of districts. The catolicism is considered as a symbolic expression in the maintenance and in the legitimate the religious powers across the impregnation of service hierarchical and ecclesiastical conjugated the advantages and the necessities of social classes and such are the service demand a priori of salesianos (the clergies and the sisters religious) of the Alto Araguaia, Mato Grosso. The signification of catholicism in Alto Araguaia is established as an expert organic body reproducing and legitimating hegemonic power of the social classes into the society (in Alto Araguaia). In conclusion, the agonies and the consoles are softened in the sustentation of the religious sense in order to prevent the society at the social disorders.
