RESUMO

This research analyses how the tecnological revolution influenced the citizenship building process for those benefited by the projects Rede de Tecnologia Social and Escola Digital Integrada. The metodological procedures included interviews, observation and volunteer work which permitted the data collection through an ethnographical approach. The study confirmed the following pre-statements: the digital inclusion projects lead to social inclusion; they promote citizenship; and the ability to use new technologies with intelectual autonomy is the start point for mediated digital inclusion. The present work concludes: the path to social inlcusion passes by mediated digital inclusion. And the citizenship building process in information society demands the use of new information and communication technologies.
