RESUMO

"8 o clock soap opera and its strategies of textualization. Terra Nostra: the resemanticizing saga" has as central proposal to investigate in what measure the discoursive strategies and chiefly in what degree the components of syntax and the elements of semantic that belong to the discoursive level contribute for the conquest and the maintenance of the audience of the soap opera as a TV program of a so big acceptance among the televiwers in Brazil. The Discoursive Semiotics from the School of Paris is the theoretical and methodological base of sustenance for the development of the ana1ysis and also the very point of view to semiotize the object of this research. The discoursive semiotics which is characterized by its construction of technics and appropriate methods of internal or immanent analysis recognizes the textual object as a plot that reveals under itself the laws that guide the discourse which has to be found by the ana1yst.It is in this sense that it s possible for the semiotician to deconstruct it to bring about the roots that produce the condition of signification based on the text itself. The analysis of the discoursive frames of Terra Nostra indicate that the characteristics of the televisual manifestation specially through the syncretism of languages has an important function in the sustenance and maintenance of the interest of the addressee through the gradual development of the narratives. The syncretism of different semiotic systems can create the meaning effect that the discourse is a1waysabout a new soap opera which is different from the other ones through the procedures of textualization. This dissertation also tries to evidence that the strategies of textulization that provokes these meaning effects are built based in three procedures that present characteristic mechanisms: the figurative discoursive, the thematic discoursive and the enunciative discoursive procedure
