RESUMO

This work begins with an introduction which shows the application, characteristics and concepts of high-strength concrete. Following, a theoretical abstract of the state of the art about reinforced concrete comers and joints, as well as previous research results are reported. An experimental research is described, dealing with the concrete mixes used. The experimental tests of high-strength reinforced concrete comers and joints were developed after bibliographical revision. The behaviour of the right angle comer joint is fundamentally affected by the sense of the loading. For this reason, such a knee was examined separately for a moment that tended to close the right angle and for another that tended to open it. The results of these tests and their stress-load and strain-load diagrams are shown. This work finishes with the analysis of all the results
