RESUMO

Nevi lesions with adnexal involvement were diagnosed in 61 dogs, between 1996 and 2004. Fibroanexial dysplasia affected 53 (86,88%) animals and were clinically characterized by firm nodular lesions localized predominantly in the limbs and digits. There were no sexual predilection. Mongrel, Boxer and Cocker Spaniel were the most affected breeds. The average age when lesions were first observed was 6,26 years. Histologically the lesions were characterized by one or several displastic adnexal strucutres, fibroplasic and inflamed dermis, and variable epidermal and pannicular alterations. The other eight dogs had other forms of nevus: apocrine follicle nevus, hair follicle nevus, comedo nevus and giant hair follicle nevus.
