Necessidade de exames laboratoriais pre-operatorios utilizados rotineiramente em cirurgia e traumatologia buco-maxilo-faciais para pacientes ASA I submetidos a anestesia geral

RESUMO

The aim of this prospective study was to evaluate the need from usual preoperative laboratorial scans used in the oral and maxillofacial surgery, for the surgical treatment of the patients under general anesthesia. It was utilized 60 patients submitted to elective procedures, aged under 45 years old, from both sex groups, classified as ASA I (American Society of Anesthesiologists), without significant findings during their anamnesis. The patients were attend indeed were treated at Santa Casa Hospitals from Limeira and Rio Claro-SP, during a 7 month period, in order to diagnosis any complications during or after the surgeries. The patients were divided in two subgroups with 30 patients each, which in a group none preoperative laboratorial scans were asked for, and in the other group, this order was made. 80th subgroups were submitted to a preanesthetic evaluation. Through an analysis of the acquired data, in the group which was not submitted to the laboratorial scans was found only one case of complication (3,33%), and in the other group were found four cases of complications, the most frequent cause of complication was infection (13,3%); and a total of 11 laboratorial scans with abnormal results (36,6%). Therefore, according with statistical analysis there was not any significant statistical difference between the studied groups, in the scope of referring to the number of complications
