Música na cultura escolar : as práticas musicais no contexto da Educação artística

RESUMO

The Law #5,692/71 brought new problems for music education in the school, when inserting the Artistic Education in the curriculum. At the same time where it represented a hope for the education of the arts, the integration of the languages - plastic arts, scenic arts and musical education - was presented as a proposal confused and inefficient. In this context, one becomes necessary to analyse the musical practices at school, starting from the standpoint that the school produces culture - culture expressed in norms, practices and the behaviours that acquire a precise meaning in the school s institution context. In this way, the objective of this research is to identify the contents and musical practices at the school, analysing the direction of these practices as part of the musical culture at school in the context of the Artistic Education (1971-1996). The State School Maria Constança Barros Machado, in Campo Grande/MS served as a place of research, where important data had been collected for the analysis. Despite the musical education not having been privileged in classroom, it was evidenced predominance of musical activities extraclassroom, characterised for the formation of groups - as the Chorale and the Fanfarra. The Music Festivals, evidenced in the1980 s decade, had shown as "reproduction" of the spectacle lived outside the school - is considered an important aspect and reason of reflection at the end of this work. In this sense, it can be inferred that, while the competition is propeller force of the Festivals, the election marks the Chorale and the Fanfarra resulting in a common effect: the exclusion. This reality evokes new reflections, stimulating action in this field, therefore it competes to the school providing a musical significant education and extended to all.
