Modelo de diagnóstico ambiental para elaboração do plano ambiental do município de Inhambane em Moçambique

RESUMO

With this dissertation it is the intention present a methodology with which it is possible to perform analysis of the environmental situation of a given municipality, in particular the municipality of Inhambane, in Mozambique. The methodology is referred to as DAM (Diagnóstico Ambiental Municipal Municipal Environmental Diagnosis). The methodology (DAM) uses as a basis, the methodologies of various authors such as MOTA (2000), SANTOS (2004) amongst others, public and private organs such as the Ministry of the Environment, Brazil. (2001) and the United Nations Development Program (1996); the proposed model has, as its objectives, the creation and application of techniques for environmental auditing and their analysis for planning in a designated area, in this case the municipality of Inhambane. Furthermore, these techniques will fundamentally support environmental and tourism strategies focused within a theoretical understanding of practical actions related to planning and environmental management, with the aim of increasing the sustainability of the municipality. After application, the proposed model demonstrates that the municipalitys environmental management is weak, with external environmental threats outweighing the opportunities, thus contributing to the unsustainable development of certain economic activities, in this case, exemplified by the tourism sector, which , in turn, is dependent on a system of good environmental management to be able to attract and maintain the number of visitors which arrive in the municipality and contribute to the local development. Finally the job show that this methodology is applicable and gives support to environmental planning and management and subsequently, serves as a diagnostic base for environmental components in other municipalities in Mozambique.
