RESUMO

This work presents an ontology based model for simulating virtual human in normal life situation. In our approach, we consider human behavior aspects regarding environment occupation and agents movement in it. In the ontology model we specify that the environment has diferent classes of places (work, school, shops, leisure, church, etc.), each with their own characteristics such as opening hours and capacity. Virtual humans are modeled according to their emotional states (happy, sad, angry, with fear), their profile (child, adult, employed adult, among others) and their personality. The model defines then the relations among profiles, personalities and the places virtual humans usually goes at certain times. This kind of model can be used to model environments such as shopping centers, train stations and also open environments such as neighborhoods and cities and is useful both for the analysis of behavior of an individual agent and for the analysis of crowds. The model is of easy configuration and use, so one could model diferent places, real or fictitious with distinct places and populations. In this dissertation we describe details of the development of the prototype, and we analyze the results of simulations based on the proposed model
