RESUMO

This dissertation presents a methodology proposed to optimize the restoration of transmission electrical systems, as well as to develop a tool for training and support, in real time, to the system s operators to the System Operation Center - SOC. The proposed methodology, called Adaptive Selective Tabu Search, is based on the Tabu Search technique and some concepts of the Reactive Tabu Search. Its algorithm adds a list of rules, based on the operation system instructions and on the experts knowledge, guaranteeing the correct implementation of the restoration process. There is, in this methodology, the introduction of elements similar to those found in the Genetic Algorithms technique, such as natural selection and mutation, implemented through the functions of elitism and randomness, providing both intensification and diversification to the search. The methodology developed is thoroughly described and its validation is done by applying it to solve the restoration problem of a small electric transmission system.
