RESUMO

This work, about the façade of buildings in structural masonry of concrete of blocks, proposes an innovative construction process, which tends to shorten the chronogram as several steps will be cut, consequently promoting a quicker completion of the building as well as a considerable reduction of costs and with no esthetics or functional alterations. In short, we will point out technical concepts and a historical briefing on the structural masonry and ceramics coatings, as well as classification and specification of the involved materials, in order to get a satisfactory performance for the proposed methodology. This methodology has been used in buildings in structural masonry for about four years and there are no records of problems resulting from it. This leads us to the conclusion that it is efficient as it ends up generating speed and, consequently, a reduction of building costs as a whole
