RESUMO

This work shows the investigations result of the fabric industry performance in the Natal-RNs metropolitan region; moreover identify the characteristics of this valuation. It is know that traditionally the companies valuate its performance using only financial measures, nevertheless empirical studies, economic situation and consuming behavior changes demand a major control de results. The literature shows that the companies must control not only its financial results, but also the not financials items, as the quality of its products and services, employees and clients. Making this way, a global performance valuation, it needs also models of organization performance valuation, which associates financials and not financials measures to the company strategy. The research also tries to answer how many and which performance indicators are used for this companies. To achieve the objectives, it was done a research with thirty industries using a questionnaire. The results revel that the researched companies still have the financial indicator as basis and they dont utilizes any system of performance valuation that were mentioned in the literature, but they work isolated with the indicators presented in the literature
