RESUMO

In this research we aimed to evaluate in what way the operators of cognitive complexity may create conditions for the resignification of pedagogical mediation in a virtual learning environment. We sought to identify the presence of cognitive operators systemic-organizational, hologramático, dialogic, retroactive, recursive, self-eco-organizational, the ecology of action, enation and Ethic in the course planning, in the virtual platform chosen, in discussion forums and in the pedagogical mediation itself, checking the possibilities and difficulties of using these operators throughout the process. Qualitative in nature, this research used as a methodological strategy an analysis and interpretative reading of a case, based on the cognitive operators of complexity and on ecosystemic thought. This methodology was based, too, on the studies of Maria Cândida Moraes and Armando Valente about research in education from the complexity and from transdisciplinarity. Based on the recommendations made by the Brazilian Forum of Graduation Pro-Deans (ForGRAD), we chose to analyze the constituent elements of the virtual environment of learning, defined by Schlemmer &Saccol &Garrido (2003), using the cognitive operators of complexity as categories of analysis, and the hybrid model proposed by Laville and Dionne (1999) that could allow the modification of these categories such as processed derived. The theoretical framework had as main authors, Edgar Morin and Maria Candida Moraes, grounding the whole research, since the methodology to the conclusion. Pedro Demo and Humberto Mariotti, more specifically with regard to the principles of ecosystemic thought and complexity. For questions related to understanding the processes of learning and knowing, it was used mainly Jean Piaget, Carl Rogers, David Ausubel, Malcolm Knowles, António Damasio, Humberto Maturana and Francisco Varela. More directly related to mediation training and mediation training in virtual environments for learning, we reported to Paulo Freire, Francisco Gutierrez, José Manuel Moran, Philippe Perrenoud, Pierre Lévy, Otto Peters and Lucila Pesce. As a result of this research, we concluded that the cognitive operators of complexity were present in parts of the course, enriching the look of the mediators, and thus ressignificating the pedagogical processes of mediation in the virtual learning environment, but with limitations to their use at all stages of the course.
