RESUMO

This work presents the project and the development of a Management System for Local Networks based on the MAP proposal of General Motors. The Management System is applied to the layers 1 and 2 of OSI / ISO model, and is divided in four Management Applications: Configuration Management; Performance Management; Fault Management and Event Processing. The System main functions are the state control of the stations, the parameter configuration and the statistics collection.
