RESUMO

Abstract This article analyzes, from the point of view of reflexive anthropology, how certain linguistic and rhetoric repertoires used by alumni of the elite Buenos Aires National High School may allude to the idea of community. By exploring the situations in which these reportoires are activated, we show how they can act as an important resource in the struggle to obtain professional and political privileges. Finally, in connection with a "field incident", we inquiry about the co-participation of the social researcher in the production of evidence.
