LEITURA DE IMAGENS CONTEMPORÂNEAS: Uma prática necessária na Educação

RESUMO

The main idea of this dissertation is to argue regarding the necessity of an educative action aiming at to the reading of the images. It is in this direction that we understand the contributions of Roland Barthes as a valid theoretical referencial for the discussion. This author understands the image as a language, describing its internal structure and its relations that hold three messages: iconic denoted messages, connoted messages and the linguistic message, developing an analytical methodology for reading of images. Conterpoints between theories of Regis Debray and Lucia Santaella &Noth had been possible, as basis to go deep the analysis of the image-object of the dissertation, the advertising campaigns of social matrix or educative e, therefore distant of the characteristics of the image-enigmas of Debray (related to the works of art). With the methodology of Roland Barthes, one analyzed three images educative-type. The analysis resulted in structural descriptions of the imagetic system of each observed image. These same images, analyzed for the barthesiana methodology, had been presented for a group of fifteen (15) teachers of educative informatics in situation of continued education, to be interpret. The results of the analyses of the images carried through for the researcher had served of parameters to analyze the results of the empirical experience with the teachers. The school teachers had perceived the message intended as they understood the articulation of the three messages of the advertising image related to accumulated cultural knowing of each teacher, who besides recognizing the denoted signs can understand them within the sintagma of the image. The results of the research had allowed the understanding how the denoted signs direct the understanding of connotation and the importance of the orienting function of the linguistic message of the images. Being observed that the pedagogical mediation with this methodology for reading of images, can contribute for one better understanding of the visual messages.
