RESUMO
Our work has as objective to study the shortness, but important experience of the writer Jorge Amado as one of the producers of the Constitution of 1946, for the PCB, after the experience of the dictatorship of the New State in Brazil. To give account of part of its intense activity we use efforts in dialoguing with diverse areas of Social Sciences, as Sociology, History, Science Critical Politics and the Literary one, disclosing traces of the writer, constituent and active intellectual in its conjuncture in defense of the democracy and the freedom now and always.
