RESUMO

This work presents a survey of pteridophytes species established in a Galery Forest, located in the right margin of Couros river, inside the Portal das Chapadas farm, in Alto Paraiso de Goiás country (140988S, 473597W, 1,164m in high), in the region known by Chapadas dos Veadeiros. The samples were collected at 15-day intervals, between June 2006 and June 2007, screening the experimental area, which consisted in the collection of specimens presents in 4.5 m in each side of a path with 2,400 m in extension, sampling specimens of all life form found in the area. Measurements of total high of the plant was taken for each sample. For the epiphytes species measurements of the height in which they were attached to the support plant were taken. A sample of the support plant was collected for subsequent identification. All materials, after routine processing, were included in the collection of the UB herbarium and a duplicate was send to the RBR herbarium. From the analysis of the results fourty species were identified, distributed in 18 genera and 14 families. The most representatives families are Dryopteridaceae (6 species) and Blechnaceae (5 species) followed by Hymenophyllaceae, Polypodiaceae e Thelypteridaceae (4 species each). Morphological descriptions of the sporophytes of species are presented, as well as the identification key. Also, the development of gamethophytes from spores germination was studied, under laboratory conditions, in two Polypodiaceae species: Campyloneurum phyllitidis (L.) C. Presl and Pecluma ptilodon (Kunze) Price. The spores were collected from fertile fronds, desinfested with 0,8% sodium hypoclorite, for 20 min, inoculated in MS cultured medium with (0,0; 0,5; 1,0; 2,0 e 3,0%) sucrose and maintained in growth chamber with 16-h illumination and fotons flux density of 30 μmol.m-2.s-1. The pattern of germination for both species is classified as Vittaria. The germination started between 12 and 19 days in C. phyllitidis and between 12 and 15 days in P. ptilodon. The prothallum development for both species is Aspidium type. The young prothallum is spatulated and ovalated in shape and reached the heart-shaped morphology after 65 days of inoculation, showing trichomes differentiation and gametophytes. Gametangia are leptosporangiated ferns type.
