This thesis intentsto approachthe engenderingof the brazilianNationas a political autonomous body,basedonthelegateof a widetransatianticreflexionprocessaboutthe lusobrazilianEmpiretendences, undertakenby thoseintelectuaisand statesmendevotedto the reformist nterprise of the Portuguese State, from1750to 1822. A longeduréeperspective, whichsearchesunmasknotonlya determinated filiationof ideas and practicesamongthe protagonistsof imperialpoliticalin the threemomentsof national monarchyembracedby theperiod- respectively, theMarquisdePombal,D. Rodrigode Sousa CoutinhoandJoséBonifáciodeAndradae Silva-, buttheconvergencebetweentheirpoliticalintelectuais formationsandtheelaboratedimperial isions,whichrevealstheownlinksbetween theprojetesof luso-brazilian EmpireandtheEmpireof Brazil.
