RESUMO

In this work, the mathematical and computer modeling in the analysis of the interpolation functions in the Finite Volume Method was developed. The equations were integrated in the control of volume in which frontiers the advective and diffuse flows must be evaluated. The interpolation function, which main objective is to connect the nodal points, was used to calculate those flows. Three interpolation function schemes were used: CDS, UDS and QUICK. These schemes were chosen due to the fact that they present less errors and blockings. To sum up, the computer tests showed the limitations of the CDS and UDS schemes and the excellent results of the QUICK scheme.
