RESUMO

In the large cities the violence and fear are increasingly presenting as conditioning factors of space and urban life. In this context, the socio segregation phenomenon appears as striking, producing a number of the social, cultural and space of major proportions. This study problematizes these issues and aims to capture the feeling of insecurity of the residents of the city of Goiânia, as well as practical responses to the uncertainty, expressed in everyday life, in attitudes, ways of living, attitudes and relationships with the public space.
